Sleep Oils

Sleep. We all need it and somehow none of us seem to get enough of it.  Whether it’s our husband’s snoring, or our snoring, lol, or our sick babies or our child that struggles to sleep even a few hours at a time, it seems it’s an epidemic.  Is there a way to get more zzz’s?  Many families have seen success using essential oils.  There are several oils to choose from that might help.

Here are my top 5 essential oils:

1:  Lavender – rich in linalool and linalyl acetate which are known for their relaxing properties.  Sprinkle on your pillow, rub a few drops on the bottoms of your feet, or put a couple of drops in a diffuser to experience sleep-inducing benefits.

2. Serenity Restful Blend – a blend of several essential oils known to promote rest.  Try dabbing on pulse points, over your heart, and also in the diffuser.

3. Serenity Restful Complex:  a dietary supplement that contains essential oils, and amino acids to support occasional sleeplessness.  It’s to be taken 30 minutes before bedtime to help quiet your mind and help you fall asleep more easily. 1-2 soft gels for adults.

4. Vetiver – a deep woody scent.  It comes from the root of the vetiver plant in Haiti.  It helps calm your brain down so you can shut it off.

5. Roman Chamomile – Everyone knows that chamomile tea can calm, so the same goes for Roman chamomile oil.  It’s a light, floral scent known for calming and relaxing.

Once again, the best way to use these oils is topically with a few drops on the bottom of the feet or the pulse points and aromatically in a diffuser.  I wish you all a great night’s sleep and don’t forget to shut your lights off 🙂
